As of now, I officially miss seeing sweet Thatcher on a regular basis.  A few weeks after his last milestone session, I got the opportunity to photograph his mom's side extended family.  Brooke gifted this session to her mom for her birthday and I couldn't have loved more to capture these images for them.  Her parents have huge hearts and have raised a beautiful family inside out.  Thatcher, being the first grand baby, has his whole family wrapped around his little finger and rightfully so...He is adorable and so much fun!

So excited to finally get to blog one of my dream sessions.  Thatcher turned one last October and mom picked her home as the location.  One year olds in their own element is one of my absolute favorite ways to photograph them at this stage.  They are unstoppable and what safest place to let them be free (still on everyone's watch, safety first at all times!) than their own home.  From the minute I walked into their home, he welcomed me with lots of sweet smiles and action to capture all of his milestones.  We played, he walked while holding on to mom and dad or furniture, he crawled, mom and dad read with him, he climbed down mom and dad's bed, and he emptied lots of drawers.  Then I walked into his room, every single detail was gorgeous, out of a magazine beautiful.   One particular decoration I made sure got photographed with him as it belonged to his late great grandpa.  While brainstorming his session with his mom, I suggested some pretty colored pumpkins and she came with the brilliant idea to have him paint on them and even brighter idea, edible paint because sure enough he made sure to taste it when he was done painting!  Then I got to capture his kitchen's sink bath...Couldn't have been any better, so much fun and so happy he got to have a good time while I photographed him.  Shortly after I left, mom texted me a picture of him sound asleep!

Walking into my client's homes and seeing my work in their walls is the greatest compliment and even more so Thatcher enjoying it just as much.  My heart is full! Loved photographing this family.  Sweet, beautiful and they all have the most beautiful and expressive eyes!  Jax was 5 months at the time.  Lots of cuddles and smooches from mom and dad and how could they resist that handsome baby boy?  First time ever at this location and the trees were incredible!  Grateful for the opportunity to photograph this gorgeous little family!
